About Me
Hi my name is Ryan and…
I’ve been involved with online marketing of various flavors since 2001. I enjoy both SEO and SEM. I’m passionate about sports, particularly college football and the NBA. I helped co-found NBA Wire which has been a very part-time project that I’d like to make more full-time someday. I live in rural British Columbia, Canada with my wife and three children. I’ve lived in several states in the western U.S. growing up and have lived in Belize and Guatemala in addition to the U.S. and Canada.
New to Blogging
I’m new to the whole blogging thing. I’ve followed several blogs over the years and have just now decided that I need to take the plunge and organize my thoughts online, if for nobody else but myself. I’ll maintain a section that details what I learn, the vocabulary, the tactics, and the successes and failures I have along the way. I’ll add a link to that section as it develops.
What I really want to do when I grow up
My business partner Ryan Williams and I met while we both lived in Guatemala. We both share a passion for the area, the people, and the culture. We’ve seen a great deal of poverty during our time there and both hope that as we enjoy some success doing online marketing that we can channel some of that money into helping these great people rise out of poverty. Williams has already helped start up an orphanage there and improve the quality of life for a group of needy children there. One day we hope to build schools that focus on helping this underprivileged group of children have an opportunity to receive a quality education and break out of this cycle of poverty.
Two Ryans
As I post on this blog I’ll refer to Ryan Williams merely as Williams to try and be less confusing. He likewise will refer to me as McCoy rather than Ryan McCoy
