Ohio State Didn’t Deserve to be in a BCS Game

I don’t really believe that, and neither does most of the sports world…but before you brush off that comment, think what would you have said had Boise State lost to Oklahoma 41-14. You would have said a team from the WAC going undefeated is a joke. They never deserved to be in a BCS game, they had a weak schedule and why do we even bother including teams outside of the power conferences. The fact is Ohio State did deserve to play in the championship game. If Boise State would have been blown out by Oklahoma they still would have deserved to play in their bowl game. They earned it. The fact is Ohio State went undefeated. Florida and Urban Meyer just flat outplayed them. I don’t know if Urban Meyer sold his soul to the devil, but whatever he has been doing over the last several years at Bowling Green, at Utah, and now t Florida seems to be working. He is a premier college coach…so that means he’ll try his hand at the NFL, fail, and be back in college beating up on schools again in a few years.

Kobe, Lebron, D-Wade….or is it Carlos Boozer?

Yes it is early in the season to begin MVP talk but how can you not be stunned by what Carlos Boozer is doing for the Utah Jazz. Boozer has been a non-factor since coming to Utah due to injures that even many Jazz fans questioned. But now he’s healthy and taking the league by storm. The Jazz have the best record in the NBA (also suprising) and Boozer is averaging 23 points and 12 boards per game while shooting 59% from the field. The Jazz are currently beating opponents with their high octane offense but probably are aware from watching the Phoenix Suns that offense alone won’t work come playoff time - the Jazz will have to play tough team defense as Boozer is considered somewhat soft defensively inside.

We’ve threatened to do this for a long time.

We’ve kicked the idea around (writing a blog) for over two years now. He (Ryan Williams) first suggested it, and I (Ryan McCoy) thought it would be a great idea. The problem is work has kept us so busy that we haven’t hardly had time to do anything else..that and we tried it once and couldn’t get the previous blog to archive posts correctly and we got frustrated and scrapped the idea. We’ve tested out Word Press and it has worked great, so I think we are finally ready to go. So…we’ve decided things are never going to slow down and that it is time to just join the rest of the blogosphere in commenting on things that are important or interesting to us. This blog is more of a personal blog, and we’ll launch a business blog focused on affiliate marketing in the coming weeks where we’ll share some of our experiences and advice, interview top affiliates about various topics and chat up some of the top affiliate program managers. So without further delay here is blogryan.com
